Tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) is a craft traditionally passed down maternally. The motifs represent elements seen in everyday Palestinian life; flowers, seeds, birds. It is a testament to the connection between Palestinian people and their land.

In 2021, Tatreez was inscribed into the UNESCO Representative List of the Intagible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This piece was made possible thanks to the work of Tirazain, online motif archive.
